I generally appreciate the album by album move away from hardcore towards extreme metal. Yet for me personally, this is where the balance is perfect. Kind of like Metallica's Ride the Lightning: subsequent albums were more sophisticated and complex, yet less intense, too. Great to come back to, again and again.

This rapidly rose to become one of my favourite albums, and has been on repeat since hearing it. A constant theme runs throughout which makes this an album, not just a collection of songs in a way I haven't heard before. Classic pop-punk sing-alongs, hardcore screaming, along with some synth (!) sections - Its such a mix, but it comes together so well. Picking a favourite song does the whole album a disservice - its a package deal. Treat yourself to a listen.
